This video shows that besides local ecosystems disruption, the global climate is warming. 
Since temperature record began in 1880, the global average temperature has increased by 1.4°F. Dr Gavin Schmidt, from NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies reminded that while this might seem tiny,"in terms of the climate, it's quite a big deal". Last decade has been the warmest decade ever recorded, and 2014 was the hottest year on record. 

According to NASA climate scientists and the vast majority of scientists around the world, human contribution to global warming is predominant. IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reported in 2014 that scientists were more than 95% certain that most of global warming is caused by increasing concentration of greenhouse gases due to anthropogenic activities. Here is why they think so. 
 
1. On one hand, potential Natural causes of a warm climate, which include solar irradiance, ocean circulation patterns, volcanic activities, forest fires have not experienced huge variations. The level of solar intensity has even decreased in the past century.   

2. On the other hand, fossil fuels production and energy consumption to support the modern way of life have contributed to releasing huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, especially carbon dioxide. Those gases act like a blanket as they trap the heat inside the atmosphere, warming up therefore our planet. 

Reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will result in lowering the global warming potential and mitigate the risks associated with climate change.
